About Us:

The building now known as Billy Bob's Texas was built in 1910 and was once an open-air barn used to house prize cattle for the Fort Worth Stock Show. In 1936, as a Texas Centennial Project, the building was enclosed by the City of Fort Worth at a cost of $183,500 and the tower over the main entrance was added. The "new" structure contained 1,257 animal stalls, and a 1,200 seat auction ring that is now the Billy Bob's Bull Riding arena.  Livestock events were held here until the stock show moved to the Will Rogers Memorial Complex, in 1943. During World War II, the building was used as an airplane factory for the Globe Aircraft Corporation.  In the 1950 ²s the building became a department store so large that the stock boys wore roller skates to make their jobs easier.

Billy Bob's Texas opened April 1, 1981 with national attention featuring Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers as the first performers.  Other artists who appeared during opening week included Waylon Jennings, Janie Fricke, and Willie Nelson. With 100,000 square feet of interior space and 20 acres of parking for entertainment and events, Billy Bob's features 30 individual bar stations, live music with country music's biggest stars, Live Pro Bull Riding, and a Texas size dance floor.

Billy Bob's Live Pro Bull Riding is sanctioned by Championship Bull Riding (CBR) and contestants compete every Friday and Saturday night. We're talking real bulls- not mechanical!  Billy Bob's also offers our guests a chance to be a rodeo star by providing an authentic stuffed bull photo opportunity as if they were part of the live action.

-- Billy Bob's can accommodate up to 6,000 people and is open daily with entertainment nightly.

-- More than 47,500 Bulls have bucked in Billy Bob's arena to date.
-- Billy Bob's launched its recording label in 1998.

Fun place to hang out and ride some bulls. If you're not into riding bulls, then it's a great olace to watch some cool bull riding. Huge place. Dance floor is rather small. Beers are $4.50 each, which is quite pricey. They have a cool little gift shop inside. Pool tables, arcade basketball, air hockey and a few other near arcade type games. If you've never been to Billy Bob's in Fort Worth Texas then you need to check it out.

Billy Bob's had been on my bucket list for a while and recently while in the US I got the chance to go. The only day we could make it was on a Tuesday as we were flying back home the next day. We had no idea what to expect so just turned up, posted $2 to get in and bought ourselves a Bud each. The place was almost empty when we got there but a few more turned up later. It was better in a way because we could walk around and take in all the sights without having to fight through crowds of people. We were told that the drinks and food were expensive but it was $9 for 2 bottles of Bud and $11 for my mushroom burger and mountains of fries. I don't think that's too bad at all! It closes at 10pm on a weekday so you might want to get there a few hours beforehand. Good place to go to listen to some great country tunes.

Parking wasn't a nightmare on the Saturday night we went for a concert! They keep their restrooms very clean and stocked in all the essentials. They had great drinks, and the dance floor was kept up through out the night. Staff was helpful and made sure underage drinking wasn't happening. Great atmosphere overall, and will returning again soon.

My experience here was okay. I didn't like that on top of an admission charge, you have to pay extra for the bull riding show which was very short but entertaining for what it was. I couldn't hear the host over the music. Pay for parking. Drinks are expensive. The pool table had an interesting mix of balls... This Jack Daniels themed table pictured here had two 4's, two 12's, and no 8 ball when used it. The staff corrected the issue. The wall decorations and displays were really cool! There is a lot of history here.
